The new series of collating units models FPF /FPZ can either be used to compliment the upstream packing lines or alternatively they can be used as single, independent units of collating and shrink tunnel together.

 Designed and built to automatically form bundles from single bags (other packaging materials on request), the units then place the shrink film around the bundle before automatically conveying the completed bundle through the shrink tunnel.

 The final product is a compact bundle which is easy to palletise or transport.

 All of the movements have been suitably studied in order not to alter the quality of the finished packet when passing through the shrink tunnel.

 

The collating units FPF / FPZ are principally made up of:

•  Infeed conveyor for the single bags

• Bundle formation station

• Shrink film application unit with cut-off knife & sealing bar

• Shrink tunnel with mesh conveyor, on-board control panel & adjustable temperature device.

• Cooling fan at the exit of the tunnel

 The whole unit is controlled through a plc system and the various functions can be programmed & displayed via the on-board control panel.

 The FPF / FPZ collating units can be configurated for the following requirements:

•  To receive bags arriving from 2 independent packing lines with the use of 2 infeed conveyors and a special high-capacity shrink tunnel.

• Semi-automatic layout (where the operator must prepare the bundle by hand), and then the unit automatically dispenses the shrink film over the bundle and conveys the bundle through the shrink tunnel.
